Financing School Health Programs

This session explores the array of funding streams that may support school health services and statues that support funding of school nursing health services programs.

Expanded Learning Programs

Expanded learning programs provide safe, healthy learning environments for students on school days and during school breaks. Expanded learning programs are funded through Federal, State and local resources and have required specific goals and guidelines that may include providing activities in academic support/intervention, physical activity/nutrition education, and academic enrichment. There may be students attending expanded learning programs that have health care needs.
